Opportunity Junction proudly celebrated the milestone graduation of Administrative Careers Training (ACT) Class 80 on August 27th at the historic El Campanil Theatre in Antioch, California.
The ceremony honored the hard work, perseverance, and growth of graduates who successfully completed their training and took an important step toward careers they are proud of.
Surrounded by family, friends, staff, and community supporters, graduates were recognized for their dedication and resilience throughout the program. The event marked not only the completion of their coursework, but also the beginning of a new chapter filled with opportunity, confidence, and purpose. Opportunity Junction is proud of Class 80 and looks forward to seeing the positive impact they will make in their workplaces and communities.
Our graduates celebrated their transition into the internship phase, which began the first week of September. Since then, they have been working alongside staff in their internship roles while developing practical skills such as job searching, adaptability, communication, and resilience.
Since beginning their internships, we have already had two Bell Ringers secure jobs. They have been enthusiastic about starting their new roles and eager to offer a word of encouragement to fellow classmates.
When asked, “What advice could you offer your fellow interns?” Desiree said, “Lean into your passions and lean into one another…I love the Opportunity Junction community that we have and the support has been a good foundation and great source of guidance for me.”
As we celebrate this milestone, Opportunity Junction continues rolling recruitment for upcoming January cohorts across all three of our career training programs: Administrative Careers Training, Medical Assistant Training, and Certified Nursing Assistant Training.
We encourage individuals seeking skills, support, and a pathway to employment to apply and take the first step toward a brighter future. Visit our website to learn more: opportunityjunction.org
