Our 2023 Imagine Gala fundraiser was a tremendous success, raising an incredible, record-breaking $208,000! It marked our first in-person gala since April 2019, and the atmosphere was electric.
At the Blackhawk Country Club in Danville, guests were treated to exquisite wine, hors d’oeuvres, and a captivating silent auction featuring a wide array of options along with an inspiring program.
The evening started with warm greetings from Board Chair Matt Tillman, Mistress of Ceremonies Renee Reid, and Auctioneer Nick Medina from KLM Auctions. The program included a live dessert auction, Alissa’s heartfelt message and final sponsor thank-you song, a live auction, and a fund-a-need paddle raise inspired by the inspiring journey of Diana Aleman, one of our featured alumni. To cap off the night, guests danced away with DJ Lady T.
Linda Best, our Founding Board Member, expressed her awe, saying, "I've attended numerous fundraisers throughout the years, but last night's event surpassed all expectations in terms of energy and generosity." Another guest raved about the event, praising its upbeat, energetic, and classy ambiance, along with excellent acoustics, delicious dinner, and the pleasure of fun and familiar company.
