At the heart of our mission are the dedicated volunteers who step in to fill the gaps and help us do more with the limited resources we have. Their generosity allows us to stay nimble, be good stewards of our finances, and ultimately achieve the work we’re here to do. They make our work possible.
This month, we want to give a special shout out to two amazing groups who recently lent us their time and talents: PG&E and CSAA Insurance Group. Their support has been invaluable, and we’re so grateful for the energy and commitment they shared with us.
Of course, we’re thankful for all of our volunteers who give throughout the year—whether it’s serving on our board of directors, leading mock interviews, helping at the food bank every Friday, putting together newsletters, teaching our students business English and finance, supporting our evening tech center, or pitching in on special projects. Each and every one of our volunteers helps create opportunities for our students and alumni. Their gift of time strengthens our programs.
