On Sunday, September 28th, the Diablo Country Club was filled with energy and generosity as Impact100 East Bay hosted its Ninth Annual Grant Celebration. We at Opportunity Junction were honored to be one of four finalists recognized for our commitment to creating pathways to career success.

250x350 impact100Thanks to the collective power of the women of Impact100 East Bay, we received a generous grant to support the expansion of our Career Advancement Project (CAP). This funding will enable us to bring CAP to our Medical Assistant (MA) and Administrative Careers Training (ACT) programs, offering more participants the chance to access quality training, personal support, and career-launching opportunities. In addition, we’ll be developing a replication toolkit so that other job training organizations across California can adopt and adapt what we’ve learned, amplifying impact well beyond our own community.

We were in incredible company. The other three finalists, Child Advocates of Contra Costa, Hack the Hood, and Planting Justice are doing outstanding work, and we are proud to stand alongside them. This year, Impact100 East Bay awarded grants to all four finalists, investing in a thriving East Bay.

A Model That Multiplies Impact

Impact100 is more than a grantmaking organization, it’s a movement. Founded on the belief that women can be powerful agents of change, the Impact100 model brings together at least 100 women annually, each contributing $1,000 or more, to fund large, high-impact grants for nonprofits serving their local communities.

The East Bay chapter has taken this model and turned it into a growing force for good. With a focus on nonprofits in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties, Impact100 East Bay pools its members' contributions and makes bold investments in local organizations working in areas such as education, health, environment, family services, and the arts.

Since its founding, the chapter has awarded over $1 million, and that number continues to grow. This kind of collective giving doesn’t just fund programs, it empowers nonprofits to think bigger, act bolder, and extend their reach.

Gratitude for a Shared Vision

We are deeply grateful to the women of Impact100 East Bay for believing in our vision and helping us expand what’s possible. Their generosity will directly impact the lives of low-income job seekers and, through our new toolkit, potentially thousands more across the state.

To be chosen as a finalist among so many worthy organizations is a tremendous honor. To receive funding that helps scale our work is transformational.

Thank you, Impact100 East Bay, for your partnership, your trust, and your commitment to transforming lives.
