This year marks 25 years of Opportunity Junction, and we are proud to celebrate nearly 1,800 graduates who have launched careers since we first opened our doors in 2000. We just finished fiscal year 2024-2025.
Every person who walks through our doors has a story. Understanding their “why,” getting to know their journey, watching their transformation and seeing them make a difference in the community—it keeps our work meaningful and keeps us motivated.
Last year, was no exception. We witnessed students enter healthcare careers they never imagined possible. We saw mothers re-enter the workforce after years of being at home. We watched individuals find careers they love—positions that offer not only financial security but also work-life balance. We’ve run into our alumni at community events, working in our healthcare offices, and even added another to our board of directors.
While we place tremendous value on each individual journey, we also take pride in our meticulous data collection. Over the past year, we served a total of 841 individuals, helping 227 secure new jobs or promotions. The average starting wage among those placed was $23.53 per hour. I couldn’t be prouder of our trainees—their hard work has led them to jobs they love, with better benefits and stronger pay, working right here in our community.
None of this would be possible without our dedicated team, our volunteers, our board of directors, and the funders who support our mission. Thank you for your trust over the years and your partnership in this critical work.
