We are proud and grateful to announce the following new grants and funding partnerships:
Firedoll Foundation: The Firedoll Foundation issued a generous grant to support the Healthcare Career Pathway program. The Firedoll Foundation is a private family foundation founded by two unrepentant liberals from the 60s who still believe in the motto, "If you are not part of the solution, you're part of the problem."
Lowell Berry Foundation: A longtime supporter of Opportunity Junction, the Lowell Berry Foundation provided a grant to fund the Administrative Careers Training program. One of the Foundation's goals is to serve Contra Costa County residents by providing a safety net for those in need while focusing on organizations that effectively shape lives and build leaders for tomorrow.
Los Medanos Health Advisory Committee: Opportunity Junction was recently awarded funding for the Healthcare Career Pathway program as recommended by the Los Medanos Health Advisory Committee and later approved by the county Board of Supervisors. The Los Medanos Community Health Area grants were awarded to organizations providing direct health programs that improve community health and well-being of residents in the Los Medanos Health Area (formerly the Los Medanos Community Healthcare District).
CoCo Farms: CoCo Farms provided its continued funding to Opportunity Junction to sustain the expansion of Certified Nursing Assistant to the Antioch office. The support is part of its social equity program in Antioch.
Cookies/Lemonnade: As part of its social equity program agreement through the City of Antioch, Lemonnade contributes regular funding to Opportunity Junction to support the Certified Nursing Assistant training program we offer in our Antioch office.
