Opportunity Junction will soon host an alumni holiday event and is calling for in-kind donations like toys and gift cards.
The celebration will take place on Dec. 14 and will provide Opportunity Junction program alumni with toys, food, and gift cards.
During the event, alumni will be invited to drop in to catch up with staff, see the changes to the office, pick up toys (if they qualify for Toys for Tots), take home a goodie bag of candy and hot chocolate, and receive a holiday greeting card containing a $25 Walmart gift card.
As the Opportunity Junction alumni manager, Kaylan Billeci Molina is eagerly planning and executing the event. She collects Toys for Tots requests and oversees picking up and sorting the donations at the Opportunity Junction office. The evening also serves as an opportunity to update the employment records of our alumni.
“I love catching up with alumni, especially alumni that we haven't seen/been in contact with for some time!” Kaylan shared.
As for ways the community can help, Kaylan said additional toy donations and $25 Walmart gift card donations would be greatly appreciated. If you are interested in donating, please contact our main office at 925-776-1133.
Opportunity Junction also holds a Thanksgiving giveaway event each year. Students, interns, and alumni are invited to pick up a beautifully wrapped Thanksgiving meal to take home and make for their families.
