As political scientist and author Kalu Ndukwe Kalu once said, “The things you do for yourself are gone when you are gone, but the things you do for others remain as your legacy.” How will you be remembered?
Last month, we bid a heartfelt farewell to Alissa Friedman, who recently retired after serving as Opportunity Junction’s (OJ) leader for the past 22 years. Alissa made a remarkable impact on the many individuals who walked through our doors. After more than two decades, she leaves behind a legacy that will forever be a piece of OJ and the community as a whole.
There are many ways to get involved and help support the motivated job seekers who come to Opportunity Junction to improve their education and lives. Planned giving ensures that your generosity continues to make a positive impact long into the future.
We want to give you the opportunity to get involved in expanding Alissa’s legacy or starting a legacy of your own. Here are two ways you can make a difference:
- The Alissa Friedman Legacy Fund: Expand Alissa’s legacy by supporting the Alissa Friedman Legacy Fund, which directly benefits our programs and services.
- Make a Legacy Gift: If you happen to be working on estate plans, we ask that you consider adding OJ to your plans. Your legacy gift will ensure the continuity of our programs and provide opportunities for individuals to launch successful careers.
Together, let's think about the lasting difference we’d like to leave in our community. Join us in supporting the Alissa Friedman Legacy Fund or consider your own legacy gift to shape Opportunity Junction's future.
Thank you for your unwavering support.
