The Administrative Careers Training (ACT) Program is excited to announce the upcoming graduation ceremony of its 70th class on Friday, May 26, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the El Campanil Theatre, located at 602 W 2nd St, Antioch, CA 94509.
This milestone event celebrates the dedication and accomplishment of our exceptional students. The graduating class worked hard to make the best of the ACT training opportunity.
Michelle Marie Ross, one of the graduates, attributes her achievement to the support she received during her journey. "Without the support of my family, friends, classmates and the OJ staff, I would not have been able to be here right now. I have gained so much confidence in myself with this program. It has been a great experience with an abundance of future opportunities for my children and me," she shares.
Her sentiments are echoed by her peer, Jessica Yumiko Avalos, who highlights the unique support system provided by Opportunity Junction.
"I have been a part of a couple graduation ceremonies. However, I am especially excited to be graduating through Opportunity Junction because the support you receive here is unmatched," Jessica says. She emphasizes the impact of the program on her career trajectory, stating, "At the end of this journey, you know you will have a good job waiting for you. Whether it's the job you strived for or a stepping-stone to a better career. I am forever grateful for the confidence that has been instilled in me. Thank you, Opportunity Junction and Class 70!"
We are delighted to welcome Tara Dale Sanders as our special guest speaker for this graduation. Sanders serves as the Manager of Workforce and Economic Development for the Contra Costa Community College District. She is also a Board Member of Opportunity Junction, where she has contributed to our expertise in serving transition-aged youth. Sanders brings inspiration to our event not only from her esteemed professional roles but also as the founder and owner of the Dále Vino Wine Bar on the Pittsburg Marina. We eagerly anticipate the insights and wisdom she will share with our graduating class and guests.
We're also proud to acknowledge the dedication of our ACT staff members. Their tireless support and guidance have played a critical role in helping our students reach this significant milestone.
The graduation ceremony is an opportunity for attendees to meet the graduating class, their families, and the ACT Program staff members. It's a celebration of hard work, achievement, and the remarkable potential of these individuals. As we prepare to honor the 70th graduating class of our ACT program, we look forward to their promising future and the inspiration they provide for future classes.
Join us in celebrating this wonderful achievement as we cheer on Class 70 in their transition into successful administrative careers.
