Orientations
The Mentor Program Orientation is intended to provide interested parties with the information to help them make an informed decision as to whether they are ready to become mentors. Orientation sessions include information such as time commitments, expectations and responsibilities and a description of the eligibility requirements and screening process. All potential mentors must attend an orientation session.
The Mentor Program Orientation schedule for 2008 is as follows:

Trainings
The Mentor Program Training is a comprehensive session covering a number of topics to help in establishing and nurturing the mentor relationship. Specific topics include: Effective vs. Ineffective Mentors; Stages in the Mentor Relationship; Sharing Values and Problem Solving. In order to participate in the Mentor Program Training, potential mentors must have attended an orientation session (the schedule is listed above) and completed the mentor application.
Mentor Program trainings for 2008 are scheduled as follows:

All orientations and trainings will be held at the Opportunity Junction office located at 3102 Delta Fair Boulevard, Antioch, CA 94509.
